Cars, equipment, crew and officials are arriving in Indonesia for the Asian Festival Of Speed, this coming weekend on 23-24 July 2011. The AFOS Indonesia will be the first event held at the Sentul International Circuit since 2009 and will host the JK Racing Asia Series (formerly known as Formula BMW Pacific) and the Asian Touring Car Series alongside three local races with the GT3 National Series and the Indonesian Classic Race-Integra-Top 1-Championship and the Bimmer Car Series.

The JK Racing Asia Series is off to a flying start after the introduction of the 2011 Driver lineup ahead of the Season Opener this weekend in support of the 2011 Petronas Malaysian Grand Prix. The JK Racing Asia Series (formerly known as Formula BMW Pacific) will kick off with two rounds of racing this 9th and 10th April 2011.
The organisers of the GT Asia Series have confirmed a partnership with AUTOart, a die-cast model maker for the 2011 Season. The company will provide selected items from their extensive collection of die cast models and lifestyle products for promotion for the GT Asia Series for the year.
Motorsport Asia announced today that they recently received notification from CKMP, the Asian Festival Of Speed (AFOS) Promoter in Korea, that they are unable to proceed with the AFOS event scheduled for 8th May 2011, due to problems with the circuit owner KAVO.
