Hard Luck for ATCS Drivers with Only Two Finishers in CTM Macau Touring Car

It was a tremendous race in the CTM Macau Touring Car Race where only two of the six Asian Touring Car Series drivers completed the 12-laps race today.

Chan Wing Shu and Ben Law Man Pun of Team IMSP crossed the finish line in 19th and 20th respectively in a race that brought out the Safety Car twice to clear the track.

Young Hong Kong driver, Charles Ng started the race well and was keeping up with the lead pack at the start. Then on Lap 2, there was a two car shunt at Lisboa Bend causing the Safety Car to come out.

At the restart, Ng was right on the tail of the three lead cars when he slipped on the (absorbing dust/powder?) and hit the barriers, ending his race. He limped back to the pit disappointed at the early end to the weekend.

2009 ATCS Champion Cheung Chi Sing could not start the race after not being able to set a time for qualifying yesterday from a gearbox failure.
