| Macau GT to be a part of GT Asia Series | ||||

The agreement means that all GT Asia drivers who are taking part in the first six rounds of the Season - Rounds 1-2 at Sepang Circuit in May, Rounds 3-4 at Sepang Circuit in June and Rounds 5-6 at Fuji Circuit, will be eligible to collect Championship points for a special AAMC Macau GT Cup trophy. These drivers will also be placed on the invited entry list for the much coveted season finale in Macau.
“We have come to an agreement with AAMC and are happy to be able to extend the cooperation beyond the Macau Grand Prix event to the full GT Asia Series. It is a special recognition and a further testament to the good relationship that we have with the sport’s governing body in Macau” said Paul Yao, CEO of Supercar Club Hong Kong.
The GT Asia Series will kick off with Rounds 1 & 2 at Sepang International Circuit, Malaysia on 25-27 May 2012. The Series will then remain in Malaysia for Rounds 3 & 4 as part of the Super GT event from 8-10 June before heading to three Japanese weekends starting with Fuji International Circuit on 13-15 July, Suzuka International Racing Course on 17-19 August and Autopolis International Circuit on 28-30 September. The Season Finale will be held as part of the Macau GP at the Guia International Circuit on 16-18 November.
The 2012 GT Asia Series is supported by, Yokohama ADVAN, Graham Timekeepers, AutoArt, Stand21, Endless and Cody Enterprise.
The GT Asia Series is jointly organised by Motorsport Asia and Supercar Club Hong Kong.

The Organisers of the GT Asia Series have signed an agreement with the Associacao General de Automovel de Macau-China confirming that the AAMC Macau GT Cup will be integrated into the GT Asia Series for the 2012 Season.
