It Is a challenging track for both driver and cars, and is most well known for it vast fluctuation in elevation over 50m between its highest and lowest points. The first sector has a downhill slope to it, and the latter part of the course has machines traveling back up in an inclined slope. These two sections are connected by a downward slope and uphill climb. The circuit also has a reputation for low atmospheric pressure due to it being located in an upland area of the island. Location : 30km Northeast of Kumamoto Direction : from Kumamoto City, take the Kiushu Expressway northbound; take the Ueki Exit, and follow signs for the track. or from Fukuoka airport: Take Kyusu Expressway to the Kikusui Interchange, Autopolis is about 25km from the exit, or exit at the Kumamoto I.C., then about 48km. By taking Oita Expressway; exit at Shirota I.C., Autopolis is about 47km away. Airport : Fukuoka International Airport (80km) |
