Twenty-five Supercars from the GT Asia Series will be on display at the Tap Seac Square in Macau on 12-13 November 2011. The cars are all part of the Macau GT Cup held during the 58th Macau Grand Prix at Guia International Circuit.
Cars on display include the Audi R8 LMS, Ferrari F458, Porsche 997 GT3 R, Lamborghini LP560, Ford GT GT3, Aston Martin Vantage N24, Ginetta G50 and the Lotus Evora GT4.
There will be an opening and autograph signing ceremony on Saturday, 12th November at 3.00pm (local time) with some drivers confirmed to attend.
The GT Asia Series, will for the first time since 2009, be holding a Championship round as part of the Macau GP’s GT Series. The GT Asia Championship winner will be crowned at the event and the Season Finale will be a fantastic one to watch as there is a three way battle for the Championship.
Defending his Championship, Dilantha Malagamuwa has always been strong at the Macau circuit. But with the current Championship leader Mok Weng Sun thirteen points ahead and third placed Eddie Yau still in with a chance to win.
Mok will need only six points to secure the 2011 GT Asia Series Championship but bragging rights of winning in Macau is always something drivers strive hard to get.
So, it will be an all out battle for the win with Lamborghini LP560, the Ferrari F458 and the Porsche 997 GT3 Cup R.
The GT Asia Series continues in Macau on 18-20 November 2011 for the Season Finale during the 58th Macau Grand Prix.
The GT Asia Series is supported by Michelin tyres, Graham London and AutoArt. The Series is organized by Motorsport Asia and Supercar Club Hong Kong.
