K. Perajun suffered from minor cuts and bruises when he hit the barrier on lap 2 of the Asian Touring Car Series Round 6.
The Malaysian driver has been taken to the hospital for precautionary observations.
Perajun lost control of his car when he suffered a brake failure and was unable to slow down before hitting the tyre barrier at Turn 1.
The Asian Touring Car Series race was red flagged and resumed after the driver and car was safely removed from the track.
The race was won by Taiwanese driver, Chen Jun San with Indonesian Shugeriawan Sutanta and Chen Han Chen of Hong Kong taking second and third.
The Asian Touring Car Series will head to Sentul International Circuit, Indonesia for Rounds 7 & 8 on 23-24 July 2011.
